    Dear NLB,

I wish to point to an important factual error in your article of Chin Mee Chin Confectionery above. I belong to the third generation in the family of Tans that has been operating Chin Mee Chin Confectionery for over 80 years starting with my late grandfather and followed by my late father, Mr. Tan Joon Ling. You mentioned a certain Mr. Tang See Fang, which is not correct. No such person existed in the history of Chin Mee Chin Confectionery. Please note that the correct history of Chin Mee Chin Confectionery should be that the shop was founded in the 1920s by Mr. Tan Hui Dong and continued by my late father Mr. Tan Joon Ling. The present third generation in the Tan family has continued the business and hopes to keep the heritage of Chin Mee Chin Confectionary alive for more years to come.

    Sincerely,

    Tan Chiew Duan
    Grandson of Founder
