The Singapore Swimming Club, established in 1894 at Tanjong Rhu, by a group of Europeans. In 1994, the club celebrated its 100th anniversary with the opening of a new facility at the same site. With a huge membership, it
continues to concentrate on its core activity, swimming, despite providing a wide range of sports facilities.
